SEX SEMEN (Gender Based Semen Dose)

In this technique, doses are prepared for insemination by selecting X chromosome-containing sperms, resulting in the production of cow heifers and buffalo heifers exclusively. In the current year, we have used approximately 2,667 sex semen doses.

ANIMAL GENETICS OF SUMUL DAIRY AT NATIONAL LEVEL

Under the DIPA scheme employed by the Union, we select the 'elite herd' of high milkyielding cattle in our area of mating. These cattle are impregnated with proven semen doses to produce male calves with high genetic potential. So far, we have selected 405 male calves for national-level breeding. This achivement is attributed to our partnership with N.D.D.B, which manages the Sabarmati Gaushala where semen doses are prepared and used on a national scale.
