You all know that the environment is a very important aspect in animal husbandry and agriculture. The contribution made by cooperatives to today's global warming goes to the benefit of our milk societies.
According to 7th principle of cooperation, taking into consideration of our responsibility to society, the Union annually supplies free saplings and productive plantings in cooperation with Anand Federation and Forest Nurseries. This initiative is driven by the noble intent of environmental preservation and generating income for our members.
During this reporting year, thanks to the active cooperation of 1082 milk societies, we supplied 9,34,995 regular saplings and 1,59,942 fruit saplings. At the federation level, our union achieved second rank during the year 2024-2025, which is a matter of joy for us.
Through this Tree Plantation Programme, Sumul Dairy continues to promote environmental stewardship, cooperative participation, and sustainable rural development. The initiative not only contributes to carbon sequestration and ecological balance but also reinforces the cooperative belief that collective action can create long-lasting benefits for both society and the environment.
